Our original plan was to link the lyrics with the song to tell story about Tim’s past encounters with women. The idea for the video is the artist is walking as the person with the camera is front of the artist, as the artist is talking into the camera and explaining the story. As the artist is explaining the story it comes to life as people come in and out while the artist is explaining the story.

Also my original plan was to make the music video with Chai Ann and Marya but I switched groups due to differences so I left and went to work with Timi and Dianni. The ideas still stayed the same we just went in to more depth about the music video adding and taking more locations, I did a lyric analysis breaking down the lyrics in to sections so that shooting the scenes was easier as we was switching from location to location.

We ended up keeping the concept but instead of relying on people to be in the video, we shot the video to where we can add animation as it fits in to what we was trying to achieve in the first place. We originally wanted to have about 10 people in the video but ended up having 2 people instead. We managed to shoot at most of the locations we had down but not all.

What we did well

When it came to shooting the video we worked to our strengths, the locations we had we sourced we used and we managed to get people in the music video. We filmed a lot of footage and had a lot to work with. In the beginning we fount adding the effects a bit difficult but we got the hang of it and the effects turned out to be better than what we had expected, reason being was because of how we filmed the music video. We was on time when it came to the shooting schedule and captured more shots then we wanted. At first when it came to editing the music video we struggled because we we’re new to using the software but after some help we managed to edit video by ourselves and added the effects.

What we could have done better

Although we had a few people in the music video we didn’t get the amount of people we wanted in our music video. Towards the latter end of the music video we got a bit lazy and didn’t really put much thought into where we could shoot the last scene. When it came to the pre-production we could have worked a little bit better at making sure our blogs had everything we needed although that is the case we still managed to finish up the pre-production.

location and reece

Dalston

This is a location in Dalston that we might use to shoot some of our music video as it is a nice new rebuild area with lots of things around such as water holes that shoot up water and ping pong tables with will make the background seem lively. Also if the weather changes up or there is poor weather throughout the shoot there is parts that have a big glass roof that covers a wide range which will stay dry.  As for health and safety we need to be careful of any people around as there is a play area around so kids can run around and disrupt our shoot or try and touch the equipment, also we need to be careful of what we are filming as people may not want to be caught in the filming.

Lee Valley Bridge

This location is a location that we might use if we need to, this is under a bridge near on the river lea near hackney wick and Stratford. It is an area that is used to take pictures and film and skates normally skate here as well. This is a good location for use to shoot some of our video has it has graffiti all over the walls which look good and it has big concrete blocks keeping up the bridge which we can use to cut to another area. As for health and safety there is no electrical pugs so there should be no wires as well, but we do need to be care full of not going to close to the river or try to make sure we don’t get in the way of any of the skaters.
